Alaska Sports and Recreation Show

Alaska-Juneau Public Market

A Christmas gift show featuring 150 to 175 vendors from every corner of Alaska, this three-day event has become a holiday tradition in Juneau. Every Thanksgiving weekend since 1983, the people Juneau begin their Christmas season with a visit to the "Public Market" at Centennial Hall.

Items for sale include Alaska Native handicrafts, handmade soaps, knives, custom made garments, wild berry products, Christmas gift packages, and a wide variety of toys. Our motto is "Only at the Public Market," since many crafters and artists display only at this show.

Download the application form and floor plans to apply for space in either the Public Market at Centennial Hall or the Public Market Annex at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center.

Set-up Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving), 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday morning (the day after Thanksgiving), 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Open to the public noon to 8:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

At Centennial Hall, we charge admission to the Public Market; at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (JACC), admission is free to the Public Market Annex.

Since admission is charged to the Public Market in Centennial Hall, vendors are asked to feature products available "Only at the Public Market." Space assignment to the Public Market Annex, where no admission is charged, is first to apply, first to choose. See attached form for details.
